What we collect across marginifinancial.com, the beta signup, and ClarityApp, why, and who it's shared with.
This policy covers marginifinancial.com (the marketing site), the beta request process, and ClarityApp (the application itself, currently in beta). It's written by Margini Financial, a sole proprietorship. If something here doesn't match what you actually experience, email hello@marginifinancial.com and we'll fix the page or the product, whichever is wrong.
Standard web analytics via Google Analytics: pages visited, general location (country/region level, not precise), device and browser type, and how you arrived (referral source). This is aggregate usage data, not tied to your name or a business account.
The name, email address, and any message you enter on the Join the Beta form, submitted to and stored by Formspree, our form-processing provider. We use this to review requests and, if approved, send you an access link. Google Analytics also logs that a beta request happened (not its contents).
Your email address, used to send you a one-time sign-in link (no password) via Supabase Auth, with the email itself delivered by Resend. We also store basic account metadata: when your account was created, when you last signed in, and your business name and type (whatever you enter when you set up ClarityApp).
This is not collected by us. It's saved only in your browser's local storage, on your device. We never see it, store it, or have a copy, unless you choose to share one with us directly (for example, sending a Backup file through the Feedback tool because you're asking for help).
ClarityApp includes an optional cloud backup feature. If it's available and you choose to turn it on, your data is encrypted in your browser, with a passphrase only you know, before it ever leaves your device. What reaches our server is unreadable without that passphrase — we do not have it, cannot recover it for you if it's lost, and cannot read your backup's contents. Turning this on is always your choice; it's off by default, and everything above about local-only storage remains true unless you explicitly opt in.
We don't sell personal data. The services below process it on our behalf, each for the specific purpose listed, under their own privacy and security terms:
| Service | What it processes | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Email address, account metadata, encrypted backup blobs (if you opt in) | Sign-in and account storage |
| Resend | Email address | Delivering sign-in link emails |
| Formspree | Name, email, beta request message | Processing beta access requests |
| Google Analytics | Browsing/usage data | Understanding site and app usage |
| Cloudflare | Standard web traffic (IP address, requests) | Hosting and delivering the site and app |
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Margini Financial or our users.
ClarityApp uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to keep your financial data and to keep you signed in between visits. The marketing site and Google Analytics use standard cookies/similar technology for analytics. You can clear these through your browser's settings at any time; clearing ClarityApp's local storage also permanently deletes your locally-stored financial data (see the in-app Data & Security guide).
Account and email data: for as long as your account exists, plus a reasonable period after for support and legal purposes. Beta request submissions: for as long as needed to process the request and follow up. Encrypted backup data (if you opt in): until you delete it or close your account. Your locally-stored financial data: for as long as it stays in your browser — entirely under your control, not ours.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the account and beta-request data we hold about you, at any time, by emailing hello@marginifinancial.com. Because your financial data lives in your own browser, you already have direct control over it: use ↓ Backup to export it, or "Clear data from this device" to delete it, no request to us needed.
ClarityApp and marginifinancial.com are intended for business owners and are not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect account data, including encryption in transit and, for optional cloud backups, client-side encryption before anything reaches our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this page as the site and app change, especially during the beta. The version at marginifinancial.com/privacy is the current one. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
Questions about this policy or your data: hello@marginifinancial.com. We aim to respond within 24 hours. See also the ClarityApp Terms of Use for the fuller picture of how the app itself works.
